The first of many posts

I officially leave one month from tomorrow. The logistics are complete. It is now just a countdown to the departure date. I've got to wrap some things up at work, but overall, I am pretty much ready to go. Keri and I have been planning some side trips, and I get more excited every time I open my guide book on Peru. Of course, we had grand plans of traveling to Ecuador and Bolivia, but we soon realized that Peru is large enough and has plenty to offer. We are definitely planning on doing the 4-day Inca Trail trek that ends at Machu Piccu. After that, we'll probably head north to the less touristy areas and explore.

She will have to leave in April, but I look forward to 2 1/2 months of Keri Baker time. Then my friend Betsy joins me in mid-May. So I will have some great company my whole time in Peru. I have no idea what working in the Health Clinic will entail. However, I cannot wait to see what type of trials and tribulations this work will bring. I love a challenge!
